Reduced Rate Therapy

My Clinic offers a Master’s level Internship Program, and the successful candidates who are offered an internship provide therapy to clients at a reduced rate as part of their training requirements.

These therapists-in-training are supported by myself and other licensed practitioners and are selected based on their experience, skillset, and their values aligning with those of my clinic.

When meeting with a Clinical Intern, you get the experience and expertise of working with myself and other regulated practitioners, and the immediate availability of a therapist-in-training at a low cost and accessible hourly rate (i.e., $120 for 55 min, and weekday, evening, and weekend availability is available.)

  • I am a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology Intern with Yorkville University. My internship will be supported by Trauma Specialist, Lalia Palacio and an another licensed professional therapist.

As well, I hold a BA (Hons) degree from York University and a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Toronto. I am a member of the Ontario College of Teachers and now a member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) (Registering).

As a former teacher I bring over 10 years of experience and a wealth of knowledge and skills in supporting adolescents, youth, parents, and educators/teachers, addressing a range of issues.

I am also passionate about working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, emotion dysregulation, relationship issues, self-esteem, ASD and learning disabilities, school issues (e.g., peer-related issues), life transitions, and career guidance.

I am drawn towards using the following therapeutic approaches: Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, and Humanistic Therapy.

In my counselling practice, I prioritize connecting with individuals and creating a safe space for them to explore their inner voice. Working from a strengths-based perspective, I believe in meeting each client where they are and supporting them to tap into and honor their innate strengths. I aim to foster empathy, honesty, and acceptance to help individuals develop their personal growth goals. With the right support in place, I genuinely believe that everyone has the capacity to build resilience, find joy, and thrive.

Reaching out for help takes courage. To faciliate this process I invite you to contact me for a free 15 min. consult, where we can discuss your reasons, hopes and goals for seeking therapy.
